Adventures in Prayer: Fill Them with Your Life and Power

Day 6 Praying for Ministry Partners and Family - From Jim and Kaye Johns

Fill Them with Your Life and Power

Fill Them with Your Life and Power—
Prepare them with the mighty inner strength that comes through Your Holy Spirit, so that Christ may increasingly be at home in their hearts through faith. May they be rooted and established in love, and have the power to understand, as all Your people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Christ’s love really is.
May they experience His love, though it is so great they will never fully understand it—that they may be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from You. (Ephesians 3:16-19)
Help Them to Know Your Will—
Fill them with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding…so that they may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way:
bearing fruit in every good work,
growing in the knowledge of God,
and being strengthened with all power
according to His glorious might. (Colossians 1:9-12)
Equip Them to Do Your Will—
May You, our God of peace...equip them with all they need for doing Your will. Produce in them, through the power of Jesus Christ, all that is pleasing to You. (Hebrews 13:20)
Help Them to Pray Every Day—
May they come to You as Jesus taught them to, in worship and surrender, asking that their needs be met, their sins forgiven, their lives protected from the evil one. (Matthew 6:6, 9-13)
Teach Them to Pray without Ceasing—
Help them to ask, seek, and knock with persistent prayer. Help them to always pray and not give up. (1Thessalonians 5:17; Matthew 7:7-9; Luke 18:1)
May They Come Boldly to Your Throne—
In Christ and through faith in Him help them to approach You with freedom and confidence, coming before Your throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help them in every time of need.
(Ephesians 3:12; Hebrews 4:16)
Help Them to Stand to Their Ground in Prayer—
May they stay clothed in Christ, our armor of light—in the full armor of God. May they pray Your will, so that You will hear and answer, whatever they ask! May their prayers bring You glory. (Romans 13:12, 14; Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 John 5:14-15; John 14:13)
And for Those of Us Who Serve Together as You Provide—
Bless us indeed, for the sake of Your kingdom. Extend our outreach any way You desire, that we may bear much fruit for Your glory. Keep Your hand upon us, so that we’ll walk worthy of our calling. Strengthen and protect us from the evil one. (1 Chronicles 4:9-10; John 15:7-8; Ephesians 4:1; 2 Thessalonians 3:3)
                                                                                                   In Jesus’ name, amen.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust." Ps. 91:1-2
